christmas countdown starts NOW! :)

My dearest loved ones... HAPPY DECEMBER FIRST! As I bite down into my delicious advent chocolate I must apologize for being so slack on this blog here... especially to leave you hanging with that last one where it seemed like we may never be getting out of bc..!! BUT happy to say (as if all of you didn't already know) after two extra days of Vernon we were back on the road and made it back to Winnipeg! It was such a blast driving in... we started our drive day at 7:30 that morning and by the time we reached Winnipeg at 7 pm... we were cheering and screaming the whole way to our house! So I've been back in Winnipeg since... Thursday, the 19th. We got thursday and friday off to unpack and rest and see the other team!! that reunion was an exciting (and loud!) one!! :) Missed them sooo much! And then I came back to Winkler that friday till Sunday to see sweet people that I missed and for my fundraiser lunch my parents held at their church. (Thank you again so much if you came or even more thank you if you helped my parents, seeing so many people I love at that lunch really really encouraged me!)
After that weekend, I got back to the city and the following Monday we began our local mission work and team assignments. Assignments including, book report on a book we chose to read on tour, video blogs to girls for the bugirl site (www.bugirl.com), making more bugs, volunteering at the Vineyard (a church with a morning drop in that serves coffee and lunch to whoever drops in), volunteering at our home church here in Winnipeg (Eastview Church). There Kylagh and I got to help rearrange the library while the other three on my team got stuff ready for their sunday school, doing some Christmas decorating. And then! Last friday we had a DOUBLE event with the PJ team at a church here in Winnipeg. That was such a blast! To unload and do set up in the same place as the other team... before the events started we had a little dance party in the PJ set up, complete with our fantastic sound system and singing along into the mics! (It really has been such a blast to see them all again!!)
And that brings us up to... this week! This week we start discipleship days which means we're back in the office, working on assignments, enjoying sessions with speakers, tour debriefing... Pretty chill schedule compared to full time touring, standard 9-4:30 with weekends and evenings off to do as we please... (we have plans to do a little christmas baking and such!). And that's what we'll be doing for the next two weeks till I'm home! I'll be back in Winkler for Christmas December 18-January 3 :)
That was a really boring blog, but it's very early and now that it's 8 am i can start up my blow dryer! :)
Thanks for reading!!
