i like the beach.

So today...!  Was a long day.  We started off going to the FLN offices and doing a session with Malynda about life on the road and ettiquite for in the van and all that good stuff, to ensure we don't drive each other too crazy while we are in such close proximity for extended amounts of time.  So that preparation definitely built up the excitement, just talking about being on the road, I want to be there now!  And then in the afternoon we did some basic event training - for the food, sound and lights, merchandise (the "Beautiful Unique Boutique" as it has been endearingly nicknamed!) and later on we'll do more intensive training for our specific roles.  So that took all afternoon and then we had supper... which my mom sent me some delicious taco dip (five things of it!) so we all ate taco dip and chips and it was great.  (Ps. mom they all want the recipe haha).
THEN...!!  We found out our teams...!!  They made us all put on blindfolds and be super quiet as they moved us around the living room... then we took off our blindfolds... And saw our team!  I'm going to be doing the Beach Tour for the first semester, which means I head out west! (Tour schedule so far is down below...)  And with the beach tour that means my leader (and also speaker and artist) is Linnea Salte!  (You can listen to her on myspace I'm pretty much positive)  And then my fellow interns... are Kylagh, Erika and Heather!  We also found out our team roles for first semester - I'll be doing merchandise (!!) and registration with Linnea and then also co-mcing the night with Kylagh!  So I'm super excited, because our merch is awesome..!!!  And MC-ing... I'm a little bit nervous so it's actually also exciting.. I'm excited to be challenged and to know that I'm not doing it alone! :)
Anyway that's the big exciting new for today!  Good thing I started this blog thing since this would actually be irritating to recieve this many emails haha.  Tomorrow...!  PRAY!  Haha because we are doing driver training with the fifteen passenger vans and trailers.  And I've decided to try... Because you never know!  And I just convinced dad... he's skeptical.  It was a little bit funny this morning Malynda was talking about how we should drive the vans like they're our dad's vehicle.. and I just laughed out loud.  Oops haha.  God's got his hand on us as we tour, right? ;)
So you bet, that's what's happening right now!  And then this week we'll be training more within our roles and for our specific event theme.  So prayer for leaders and they discern whether they should pass me to drive the vans... haha just kidding!  No, um just prayer as we all learn our roles - that we would be able to learn them well and feel confident in them so we can have confidence on the road, that'd be awesome.  I love you all!!  And I'll post the tour schedule so far for my team...
